JOURNAL RANK
Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis Equilibrium (Jurnal MBE) takes all allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously. The journal handles concerns fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with its publication ethics and relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors, reviewers, readers, institutions, and other interested parties may report a suspected breach of research or publication ethics to the Editorial Team through the journal’s official contact page. Reports should identify the article, manuscript, or editorial process concerned and include relevant details or supporting evidence. Anonymous reports may be considered when they provide sufficient information for an initial assessment.
Allegations may include, but are not limited to, plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, image manipulation, redundant publication, authorship disputes or unauthorized authorship changes, undisclosed conflicts of interest, breach of research ethics, citation manipulation, peer-review manipulation, or breaches of confidentiality.
The Editorial Team will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the allegation is sufficiently specific and supported to warrant further inquiry. The journal may request additional information, consult independent experts, and invite relevant parties to respond. Editors or reviewers with a conflict of interest will not participate in the assessment.
Where an allegation concerns research conduct that requires institutional investigation, the journal may contact the authors’ institution, research organization, or other relevant body. The journal will assess the implications for the manuscript or published article while respecting the role of institutions in investigating research misconduct. COPE recommends cooperation between journals and research institutions when allegations require investigation. publicationethics.org
The journal will limit disclosure of information to those who need it to assess or investigate the allegation. The parties concerned will be treated fairly and will normally have an opportunity to respond before an editorial decision is made. The journal will not treat an allegation as proven solely because it has been reported.
Depending on the findings and the status of the work, the journal may take one or more of the following actions:
The journal will communicate the outcome to relevant parties when appropriate and will publish a notice when needed to protect the integrity of the scholarly record. Any notice will be factual and linked to the affected article where practicable.
