KAJIAN STRUKTUR BENTANG LEBAR PADA BANGUNAN PENDIDIKAN BERKELANJUTAN
STUDI KASUS: AMPHITHEATER GREEN SCHOOL BALI
Abstract
The application of long-span structures is essential in buildings that require wide, unobstructed spaces, such as amphitheaters. In Bali, long-span structures are increasingly developed with sustainable and climate-responsive approaches. The amphitheater at Green School Bali applies a bamboo long-span structural system that integrates structural performance, environmental response, and architectural expression. This study aims to examine the long-span structural system used in the Green School Bali amphitheater and its relationship with spatial function and tropical architectural principles. A qualitative descriptive method is applied through literature studies and visual observation. The results show that bamboo arch and frame systems enable wide-span coverage without intermediate columns while supporting natural ventilation and sustainable architectural values.
